Jukebox Durie is our weekly review of the best (and the worst) Scottish football songs.

There’s nothing more embarrassing than a one-sided rap battle: calling out your opponent, flaying them with some dope rhymes while laying into their “mama”, their “papa” – but not their “nana”, cause all rappers love their gran – and then…

Nothing. No one steps forward. Your left with nothing but a handful of spittle from your ill-advised attempt to incorporate some human beatboxing and an akward silence filling the air as no answers your call.

Oh my God, you think, I’m Robbie Williams after releasing Rudebox!

So, while Rangers fans may not have much to laugh about lately, they can take comfort in one simple fact: the Ibrox club has never release a rap record. But, oh dearie, Celtic fans look away now, as the Parkhead club released The Celtic Rap. It’s awful. It makes John “Jay-B” Barnes look like Jay-Z.

Rangers fans, it’s your time to gloat, money comes and goes, but this song will be on YouTube for ever.

About the Author
After too many years as season ticket holder at Parkhead, Andy Todd renounced the SPL three years ago to support Queens Park. One team is a rank bunch of amateurs who play in a state of the art stadium and the other is…(I think we can all see where this is going).

Andy has been performing comedy for 18 months but is currently ‘between gigs’ while he writes a book on Scottish property law to be published in Summer 2012. Its potential audience will be less than 300 but his mum will be very proud.
