Jukebox Durie is our weekly review of the best (and the worst) Scottish football songs. Last week we featured the Hibs song and pointed to its remarkable similar tune to the Hearts song. (It was written by the same man, in case you didn’t read the article).

This week the mystery deepens. Neil McKenzie (@neilmackenzie5) tweeted us to point out that not only do the Hearts and Hibs songs soundalike, they also sound just like Glory Glory Man Utd.

But it doesn’t stop there. Along the road in Leeds they also have Glory Glory Leeds Utd

Glory Glory Leeds Utd:

And it still doesn’t stop. Down South in North London we find Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur.

But, Hibs fans, there is one thing you can be proud of this week. Your version was first. Spurs and Leeds can trace their songs to the 60s. Man Utd to the early 80s. But Hibs version was released in the 1950s.

Finally, an achievement to boast about – albeit one many, many decades old. So no change there then!
