Dejan_Lovren

As Fantasy Football returns once again to the forefront of our minds, we ponder the big questions facing managers for Gameweek 5.

Do You Still Care?

Fantasy Football is always the first casualty of the international break, after seeing your boys from the national team either win spectacularly or fail gloriously,  how can you bring yourself to go back to your fantasy team and pick through the injured detritus that was once your squad?

International breaks are the enemy of Fantasy Football, after players pick up injuries playing in qualifiers and bombing around like a headless chicken (but had you picked Fabian Delph anyway?), you might be left with a squad on its last legs. Better hope your rag-tag group of substitutes can do the job.

Who’s Picking Dejan Lovren?

Croatian defender Dejan Lovren, responsible for this incredible bit of silky play in Liverpool’s 0-3 defeat at home to West Ham, is selected by 2.3% of the some 3 million players on Fantasy Premier League. That’s 69,000 people who are excited to have garnered 20 points from four games.

20 points is the eleventh best in the league – so although Lovren might be an accident waiting to happen in terms of the Premier League – when it comes to Fantasy Football you could do a lot worse. Like Ciaran Clark.

Who’s Top Of Our League?

Rory Dillett returns to the top of the Scottish Comedy FC league with a fantastic 55 point round while more consistent performances from the rest of the Top 5 leaves them in a fantastic position going into Week 5. RoseStreetPreachers – who you might remember from the first couple of weeks – bound back into the Top 5 with 56 points for the week thanks to a total barnstormer for Andre Ayew in the Swansea midfield.

Which Underperforming Premier League Star Will We Pick On Next Week?

That’s easy: Wayne Rooney. See you then.

Don’t forget that you can still join the Scottish Comedy FC league. Head over to Fantasy Premier League and use code: 2065428-467263.
