Jukebox Durie is our weekly review of the best (and the worst) Scottish football songs.

Scottish cup final preview: part 1

When you look back through the archives you’ll find many football teams have a cup final record. But the team with the worst record is Hibernian – they’ve not won a (Scottish) cup final in 110 years!

Thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all night…

On May 19, Hibernian will meet Hearts in a Scottish cup final that is more eagerly awaited than brand new skag on the fast boat from Morrocco. Hampden will be rammed and the streets of Edinburgh will be emptier of locals than any day during the Festival.

This week we pick on, sorry, celebrate, Hibernian and who better to sing them good luck than Scotland’s very own Jedward – the Proclaimers . This is Glory Glory To The Hibees.

About the Author
After too many years as season ticket holder at Parkhead, Andy Todd renounced the SPL three years ago to support Queens Park. One team is a rank bunch of amateurs who play in a state of the art stadium and the other is…(I think we can all see where this is going).

Andy has been performing comedy for 18 months but is currently ‘between gigs’ while he writes a book on Scottish property law to be published in Summer 2012. Its potential audience will be less than 300 but his mum will be very proud.
